The Underwood Trust was created on 1st July 1973. The name derives from  Underwood Lane, Paisley, Scotland, which was the childhood home of one of the founders.

The Trust currently supports UK registered charities and other official charitable organisations which benefit society nationally and locally in Scotland and Wiltshire.
